about the artwork…

TO EM (Gửi em)

In Gửi em, the protagonist, shaken by the loss of a close friend, embarks on a heartfelt journey through her memories. Each rediscovered moment becomes an artistic tribute to the fleeting yet radiant days of youth. The comic highlights how even the briefest connections can leave a lasting imprint, reminding readers of the importance of expressing love before it is too late. Colour plays a central role in shaping this emotional journey. The early chapters are infused with lighter, more vibrant tones that capture warmth, nostalgia, and the brightness of companionship. As the narrative turns inward and grief begins to surface, the palette shifts to cooler, darker hues gradually dominate the pages, reflecting the heaviness of loss and introspection.
