OUR STORY

bkk UNZINE aims to showcase the talents of artists and to bring creativity and community to audiences around the world.

Envisioned as a platform to promote both fledgling and established artists alike, bkk UNZINE (pronounced “un-ZEEN,” like "unseen”) began life as an art magazine featuring the work of artists from the Bangkok art scene and beyond, and organizes events and activities to promote art appreciation and patronage.

In 2022, bkk UNZINE established the annual BKK Comics Art Festival to celebrate the unique medium of comic books and in 2024 officially opened UNZINE 95 as a collaborative haven for artists and art enthusiasts providing a community space for creativity, learning, networking and growth.

The face of bkk UNZINE, Boris established its original mission to showcase artists and promote the art community. Also known as “Sketchman Boris,” he acts as primary liaison with artists and partners, works to promote and realize bkk UNZINE’s offerings and organizational growth and also hosts the regular weekly events at UNZINE 95 as well as special activities.

Nirut is editor of the art magazine and also responsible for producing the bkk UNZINE website. He co-organizes the BKK Comics Art Festival through his company Nirut Chamsuwan Studios Co., Ltd., collaborating with Boris Aravindabalan in establishing the themes of each year’s festival, overseeing event production design, exhibition curation and market hall organization.

TONY COOIMAN MARKETING DIRECTOR Tony is a marketing director and filmmaker that operates as a NED and advisor for bkk UNZINE. He oversees branding and general marketing initiatives.

Tony is a marketing director and filmmaker that operates as a NED and advisor for bkk UNZINE. He oversees branding and general marketing initiatives. Having worked in the advertising industry for over a decade, he guarantees long-term partnerships on the digital front and assists in identifying growth prospects for the organization to help scale.

CHARTLADA SANGAKIJ MANAGER & DESIGN ASST Chartlada “Jam” Sangakij assists with management and communications, while also providing graphic design and asset generation support for bkk UNZINE.

Chartlada “Jam” Sangakij assists with management and communications, while also providing graphic design and asset generation support for bkk UNZINE. She co-hosts events and activities at UNZINE 95 and is a regular at off-site bkk UNZINE appearances.

UNZINE 95 is bkk UNZINE’s headquarters and newly established community space. Here, artists can come together to work on projects and meet with like-minded creators, and people from all walks of life can gather to learn, exchange ideas, discover interests or simply meet friends old and new alike.

A secluded getaway nestled in Sukhumvit Soi 95 near BTS Bang Chak station, UNZINE 95 is a studio space for artists to comfortably work, casually or intensively, as desired. Meetups and workshops are scheduled weekly, so there’s something for everyone and all are welcome to come either hang out or unleash their creativity.
