EXHIBITOR
Come see Tus’ work on the 5th floor curved wall from Tuesday 14 Oct through Sunday 26 Oct!
Tus Vuttinun is an animator, designer, illustrator, painter, sculptor, and performance artist whose work reflects a synthesis of structured thought and imaginative expression. Trained in architecture, he approaches art with a conceptual framework that informs both form and meaning. This background allows him to navigate seamlessly between disciplines, constructing visual narratives that balance analytical clarity with emotional resonance. From a young age, Tus developed a passion for cartooning, a medium that continues to influence his storytelling sensibility and stylistic choices. His artistic practice often experiments with the intersection of the playful and the profound, where humor, character, and narrative engage with deeper cultural and social reflections. Through diverse mediums, Tus creates work that is both versatile and conceptually grounded. His art invites audiences to enter worlds where structure meets spontaneity, precision coexists with intuition, and storytelling becomes a bridge between imagination and lived experience.
about the artwork…
THAI CYCLE
Thai Cycle interprets “Thainess” through layered imagery inspired by news, cultural narratives, and social phenomena. Composed in overlapping circles, the work symbolizes endless societal cycles—corruption, inequality, drugs, education, violence, and faith. Elements include monks who are not monks, normalized violence, political scandals, and conspiracy theories, from UFOs to divine illusions. At its center stands a sacred figure, embodying the grandeur that people cling to while also suggesting illusion—a constructed truth to endure an unmanageable reality.
