Comics from across Asia and its diasporas take centre stage at the inaugural Monsoon Awards—the first pan-Asian, indie, artist-led prize dedicated to comics from the region and beyond.
Meet the creators behind this year’s winning and shortlisted works, who have travelled from across Asia to join us in Bangkok. Hear the stories behind their comics, what drives their work, where their ideas come from, and how they turn them into finished pages. Expect insights, inspiration and a few surprises along the way.
Whether you’re a comics reader, an aspiring creator, or simply curious about what’s happening in comics across Asia, come meet the artists and discover the stories shaping the region’s independent comics scene.
